About Us
Gregory’s expertise and passion for trains run deep. As a child, he was fascinated by trains and knew that they would always be apart of his life.
Fifteen years ago, Gregory realized that soon he would be looking at retiring from Mountain Bell and he knew that he was going to need to find a way to keep himself occupied. Things changed for him when he was at a narrow gauge convention in Colorado Springs. It was at this convention that he saw an Accucraft C-16, Fn3 for the first time. At that moment, he knew that with his electronic experience and love for trains that he could provide a service to many other train lovers. Trains would be something that he would not ever grow tired of. Imagine Gregory’s delight when he had his very own business that he called Rio Grande Southern Railroad (RGSRR) Hobbies up and running. It was very important to Gregory that RGSRR Hobbies be a reputable business that follows through on its promises. RGSRR Hobbies has been in business for more than twenty five years now and Gregory has loved every minute of it. Gregory’s business has grown more than he ever imagined it would. Although, his business is now international, he still provides one on one service with each of his customers. Custom sound installation, custom radio control installation with or without sound, custom radio control for live steam locomotives, custom layout building, custom weathering, and custom kit building are some of the services Gregory offers through his business. The business was located in a 3000 series boxcar with 2,500 feet of outdoor rail surrounded by mountain views in Ridgway CO. Now in Grand Junction CO anyone that knows Gregory describes him as an honest, fun loving, and down to earth man. With Gregory what you see is what you get. He loves to travel with his wife, Mary, and his two dogs, Cinnamon and Phineas. He travels all over the United States to various train shows and conventions. Gregory is known for his experience, expertise, and great customer service. Gregory forms a unique relationship with each of his customers.

Custom Installation
We offer custom installation of DC or DCC track power or battery power/radio control in a varity of scales. I would like to try and stay in the larger sizes On30 scale and up because I have completed at least 300 maybe 400 or more. I can do custom painting and weathering as per your request. WE OFFER A CONSIGNMENT SERVICE FOR YOU. IF YOU BOUGHT IT ELSEWHERE OR FROM ME THE COMMISSION IS 15%. I WILL TAKE CARE OF THE SALES, THE LISTING, THE PICTURES, INSPECTION, CREDIT CARD FEES AND SHOW THE ITEM AT SEVERAL SHOWS. I PAY ALL CONSIGNMENTS AT THE END OF THE MONTH AFTER THE CUSTOMER HAS RECEIVED AND ACCEPTED THE ITEM FOR 30 DAYS.
Returns
- All merchandise returns MUST be shipped freight prepaid, products MUST be received within 10 days of the RMA issuance date in their ORIGINAL PACKAGES and include all ORIGINAL MANUALS and ACCESSORY ITEMS. Return products will be tested before sending out a replacement. If the products are not found to be defective after testing, we will send them back at the customer's expense .Please make sure that the products are unusable before sending them back or give us a call for tech support. If the return products are damaged by improper use, we reserve the right not to send a replacement or not issue a refund. Rgsrr Hobbies will NOT be responsible for any lost or damaged package and/or accessories during shipping. Shipping charge are DEFINITELY NOT refundable .
