 Mo Lo Co Bear

This shay has the same frame and working parts as the Mich Cal # 2 Shay but with a open cab and a wood burner. The tender has real wood logs and the cab detail is very nice and begs to be detailed and weathered. I ran a test model and it was very smooth right out of the box , but where do you put in the sound? I intend to try for a speaker in the boiler with DCC. This is a very nicely detailed model for the logging or mining enthusiast.

The latest locomotive release due this fall from Accucraft is the two truck Mich-Cal shay, available in either open cab or closed cab. It will also be available as electric with the new Pitman motors or live steam at the same cost. As usual for Accucraft, this will be brass and stainless steel construction and will definitely become a collectors item. Deduct 3% for cash or check.

 Accucraft has released its second Mich-Cal shay in 1-20 Fn3 scale, the Mich-Cal number 5, three cylinder Shay. The model shown is the live steam version with the electric version to follow. The tender top comes off and the cab roof is hinged for access to the fuel and throttle controls. This will make a great addition to the #2 Mich-Cal Shay.

 Accucraft has release probably their finest running and most detailed locomotive to date. (December 2006) The three truck shay runs great out of the box and has detail lacking in their earlier models. The front window open, hatches on the tender and inside the cab and the pulling power of this locomotive should be very good. The powered tender is open for a sound system.  The latest Live Steam Brass locomotive is the Nevada Shortline # 1 in 1-20 (F) scale on gauge 1 track.  This is a second release from Accucraft of the Standard gauge Heisler logging locomotive on narrow gauge trucks. This rather distinctive engine was sold out early in its first run number 3 and will make a great addition to the Shay and Climax. I believe the second locomotive number 2 will run as well and is as well detailed as the original. 3% discount for cash or check.

Accucraft Mimi 2-4-2 in LS with tender

This narrow gauge diesel was primarily used in Durango for switching during the 1960's. It is unique with its outside counter weights and having a 3 foot gauge, although this is not the only narrow gauge diesel the D&RGW had. This model was made by LGB several years ago in 1-22.5(G) scale and this model will rival the Plymouth diesel in detail but in 1-20.3(F) scale. 3% discount for cash or check.

 This second release is a large 1-20 scale Plymouth diesel with chain drive. It has an opening window and some unbelievable detail, including cab detail for so small a model.  This little four-wheel diesel is perfect for an industrial or short line railroad. It has directional lighting, chain drive, and begs to be kit bashed.  Accucraft first steam locomotive import in 1-20 scale was the C-16, in both numbers 268 and 278. The first run was 100 units each of numbers 268 black, Rio Grande gold and fluted dome number 278 for a total of 300. Accucraft is again importing this popular locomotive in all three versions. This small C-16 will be a great addition to anyone running Colorado Narrow Gauge.

This is a used locomotive with little run time that has long been sold out.  It is the early version C-16 with Phoenix P-5, Airwire 900 DCC, 15.6 Volt 4000 Mi Amp battery installed.  Accucraft has announced the release of the all brass C-19 consolidation in both RGS and D&RGW. The locomotive will be made as RGS 41, and D&RGW 340 Flying Grande and 346 Moffit Route with Green boiler. They are due in country the spring on 2004. The locomotive is only a little larger that the C-16 and should make small radius turns and run as well as the C-21. As usual 3% discount for checks or cash.. In Stock as of 04-2010.

Accucraft D&RGW and RGS C-19 # 340, 346 and RGS 41

 In 1916, the D&RGW acquired the 101 and 102 from the Crystal River railroad, and they became the 360 and 361 outside frame consolidation C-21's. The Accucraft model will be as good as the K-28 and be a welcome addition for Narrow Gauge.

 Accucraft will release the ambiguous American this year for both Live Stream and Electric in 1-20.3 scale. It will be available is black, South Pacific Coast red and green, Nevada County Narrow Gauge Grass Valley and D&RG brown. This locomotive was probably the most used of any on all railroads in the US and will be very popular. Normal price is 1705.50 D&RG available and the 3% discount does apply.

Accucraft 4-4-0 American in LS

Accucraft is making the DSP&P number 191 2-8-0 as it was in 1885. This locomotive was built as the number 51, then 191 in 1885, then number 31 on the C&S in 1899. It was acquired by the Colorado Railroad Museum in 1973 from Rhinelander logging Museum and is on display as the oldest authentic locomotive in Colorado. The model is based on the popular C-16 and will be available as Live steam or electric. The LS. version is $2,260.00 while the Electric version is $1,850.00. For a short time the 191 is 1,800.00 The 3% for does apply.

 Accucraft has announced the next locomotive in their D&RGW series, the T-12 ten wheeler. This all brass and stainless steal model come only in Moffit Logo green boiler in three number or unlettered in both Electric and Live Steam. This is the locomotive that run on the Chili Line and the 169 is being restored in Colorado now. Price for the Live Steam is 2,500.000 pre-sale with 3% cash discount.

Bachmann 2-4-4 Forney

  Bachman’s newest locomotive is the Sandy River & Rangeley Lake Forney’s number 11 and 12. The Number 12 is the outside frame and #11 is the inside frame. The locomotives come with the Bachmann interface board for DCC, DC or  battery power.  This is a fine looking model not needing many improvements for smaller railroads with sharp curves. Accucraft  Southern Pacific # 8 and 9

 This is a new model from Accucraft a small 4-6-0 SP narrow gauge locomotive. This will have the usual 24 volt motor and be brass and stainless steel in LS and EL versions. The models should be available in the summer of 2009. 3% discount does apply. Live Steam is $1795.10

Accucraft Climax two truck

This is a plastic and metal model of the of the K-27 in both RGS and D&RGW. It is the second release of a 1-20.3 model from Bachmann and is available in RGS 455,455 GB, D&RGW 463 FG BK, D&RGW 464 BK D&RGW 453 BK with doghouse and unlettered and GB unlettered. This model has been in development for quiet a while and sounds like it will be a good runner and is very cost effective.
